Thank god I checked my credit report!

With the new year it was time for the 1st of my 3 annual credit report checks. I usually drag my feet and don't check until March, but I'm glad I did because there was a credit card on there that wasn't mine!

I'm not sure how this happened as this account was not on my report last year, but thankfully whoever owns this card is a responsible user and not some scammer so it did not have an adverse affect on my credit score. I have filed a dispute with equifax and expect a response in 30 to 45 business days. I'll let you know what happens.

Bottom line: check you credit report!
